About the Project

Welcome to a website dedicated to the culture, traditions, and heritage of the Kazakh people.

My name is Karlygash K. Esmukhametova, and I am a primary school and English language teacher from Kazakhstan.

More than ten years ago, I created my first Kazakh-language website koshpendiler.kz devoted to the culture and traditions of our people. For over a decade, it has served as a valuable educational resource for readers in Kazakhstan, particularly school students and university students. This experience has shown me how important it is to preserve and share cultural knowledge in an accessible and meaningful way.

Today, I am developing a new project—an English-language platform dedicated to Kazakh culture. Its purpose is to introduce people around the world to the rich heritage of Kazakhstan, including its traditions, customs, family values, ceremonies, proverbs, blessings, and the nomadic way of life.

In today's interconnected world, Kazakhstan is gaining increasing recognition through its culture, sports, and arts. Prominent figures such as Dimash Qudaibergen and Gennady Golovkin help showcase our country through their talent, dedication, and deep respect for their roots. Their example inspires me to share the beauty and richness of Kazakh culture with a wider international audience.

The main goal of this project is to preserve and promote Kazakh heritage while making it accessible to English-speaking readers across the globe.

I believe that culture becomes stronger when it is shared. If even one person gains a deeper understanding of Kazakhstan and its traditions through this website, then this project has already fulfilled its purpose.
